WISeKey Named Among Top Global Growth Companies at the World Economic Forum 2011, Dalian, China

DALIAN, China, September 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ —
WISeKey has been named one of the top Global Growth Companies at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of New Champions. WISeKey is being recognized as a role model for its innovative technology and revolutionary corporate mission and will be featured in the WEF publication Trailblazers, Shapers and Innovators: Models of Success from the Community of Global Growth Companies.
WISeKey Founder and CEO Carlos Moreira is invited to attend a special closed-door session hosted by Premier Wen Jiabao for select members attending the event. Mr. Moreira will also be participating in the panel “From the Frontier: Information Technology,” the morning of Friday, 16 September in which he shall discuss the dangers to safe participation on the Internet from the weakness of personal data protection. Mr. Moreira will challenge participants to accept that future growth on the Internet must support an individual’s right to control their own personal identifiable information (PII).
“We are honored that the World Economic Forum has nominated WISeKey as a Global Growth Company. This is recognition that WISeKey is making a profound contribution to protecting personal data and to allowing millions equipped with WISeKey technologies to perform highly secure transactions over the Internet” said Carlos Moreira.
The World Economic Forum’s Community of Global Growth Companies was formed in 2007 to engage dynamic, high-growth companies which have the potential to be tomorrow’s industry leaders and to become a driving force of economic and social change. WISeKey was first nominated in 2007 as a global leader on Digital Identification and Secure Trusted Electronic Transactions over the Internet.
