WISekey Recruits ex-Citigroup MD and ex- AllianzHFP Co-Founder Philippe Collot as VP, Head of Group Corporate Finance

Geneva, 6 December, 2010 – WISeKey founder and CEO, Carlos Moreira, stated that WISeKey was attracted by Mr. Collot’s experience at Fortis, Citigroup, AllianzHFP and  CASE Advisors in Brussels, London, Paris, Geneva, New York and San Francisco and his previous financial markets experience,  including affiliates management, M&A and a Swiss IPO, which match WISeKey’s strategic priorities.
“Philippe is very talented with wide-ranging international experience in senior management in capital markets and asset management businesses and in cross-border, multi-cultural, multi-jurisdictional environments. Philippe is first in a string of senior executives to join WISeKey to drive the company’s next expansion phase. This and the growth of company revenue by 300% this year underlines that we’re building a significant global company,” said Mr. Moreira.
WISeKey’s eSecurity rivals include Verisign, EMC and Cybertrust, but experts say that WISeKey is preparing for competition from much larger companies in the Digital Identification Space, including Google, Verizon and Facebook, all of which are deploying ID-centric models.  “Over the next year we expect numerous large publicly-traded Internet companies to try to get into this market either organically or through acquisitions,” added Mr. Moreira.
“Current acquisitions in the eSecurity sector show consolidation within the SIEM market, as small, privately-held companies are bought out by large, broad-scope vendors with substantial development and sales resources. We expect further consolidation as organizations demand greater integration between enterprise security management tools, including identity and access management. WISeKey has the best brand in this space,” said Mr. Collot.
Mr. Collot will work closely with Mr. Moreira and COO Dourgam Kummer in strengthening WISeKey’s capital base with institutional/strategic investors and managing WISeKey’s financial relationships, at a time when WISeKey is facing exponential development.
