WISeKey and Qwant Sign Partnership Agreement to Develop Next Generation Social ID-based Search

GENEVA, July 12, 2012
WISeKey is combining its unique digital identity management with Qwant social search to develop the Social Media Security Graph as the defining paradigm for personal information protection. Qwant search algorithms map an individual’s unique Social Graph across digital networks. When combined with WISeKey’s WISeID, this technology will allow users to have accountable digital identification to interact in social media, fully aware of their complete digital identity footprint.
The WISeID Qwant special edition app will be released this year offering a set of tools to provide secure and authenticated digital identification based social search. WISeID Qwant WISfan applications will use accountable identities and social search to distribute official branded content to a certified community of fans who choose to receive targeted marketing.
Jean-Manuel Rozan, President of QWANT SAS said “Qwant is delighted to partner with WISeKey in order to deliver enhanced information and search capabilities in a secure environment to millions of fans around the world”
Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeKey SA said “I am delighted to team with Qwant, integrating powerful European technologies to provide unique solutions. WISeKey will be combining Qwant’s unique search algorithms with WISeKey’s identity semantics to further increase the value of digital identities.”
WISeKey’s development promotes the growth of the social web and individual security towards the objective of personal ownership of online profile content. Qwant promotes the abolishment of barriers on the web. WISeID and WISfans technology is currently used to enhance the social experience for world renowned football clubs, watch manufacturers, film studios and celebrities to monetize their fans communities.
