WISeKey Brings Top Executive Joice Fernandes, Former Microsoft’s Worldwide Senior Director for Public Private Alliances, to its Advisory Committee

Geneva, New York – January 11, 2016 – WISeKey, a Swiss based cyber security company, today announces that Joice Fernandes, former Microsoft’s Worldwide Senior Director for Public Private Alliances, and founder of the Shape the Future program for Microsoft,  joined the WISeKey Advisory Committee effective January 2016.
The Advisory Committee, chaired by Carlos Moreira, founder of WISeKey, provides advice to the WISeKey board of directors and senior management team on matters related to strategic business development and future revenue growth for the company.  The members of the Advisory Committee have vast experience in a wide variety of sectors including cyber security, technology, financial services, business services, and government, areas of critical importance to drive WISeKey’s strategy (for more information visit: https://www.wisekey.com/about/corporate-governance/).
Joice Fernandes was the architect of Microsoft’s Shape the Future program aimed at helping governments invest in information and communication technology to create jobs, drive economic growth and increase competitiveness.  During  the past 5 years, the program helped 50 countries to bring access to the technology to over 50 million people and built the Public/Private Partnerships (PPPs) that create meaningful and effective solutions to people’s educational, economic, and social challenges.  Over the years, more than one million people followed the movement through social net-working (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQbNRkuELt4) in over 80 (Governments) countries.
Generating millions in revenue for Microsoft around the world incremented business by a factor of 10, for Microsoft partners. Microsoft’s Shape the Future program became the most wide recognized brand in the social media for Microsoft generating more than 1 million fans in its  Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/shapethefutureproject)  and it became a widely adopted nomenclature around the world by several different businesses.
