Carlos Creus MoreiraFounder, Chairman and CEO WISeKey
Carlos Creus Moreira is the Founder Chairman CEO of WISeKey.
Under Carlos’ leadership, WISekey’s mission has been to continually advance and improve Internet Trust, Cybersecurity and Internet of things, and to make it easier and more secure for people to use the Internet. The company is committed to a long-term view, reflected in its industry-leading M&A, investment in research and development each year.
Carlos served before founding WISeKey as United Nations Expert on CyberSecurity and Trust Models. He served during 17 years as UN Expert for many leading organizations of the United Nations System including ILO, UN, UNCTAD, ITC/WTO, World Bank, UNDP, ESCAP (83-99). He is recognized worldwide as an Internet Pioneer and has an unique profile, which combines extensive high level international diplomacy experience and emerging technologies expertise, has positioned him as a distinctive authority, thought leader, and entrepreneurial force in today’s digital world where the acquisition and trusted protection of Identity, Trust and Security has become an essential step for citizens and entities across the globe.
Carlos left the United Nations in 1998 to found and devote his energies to WISeKey, a company he had begun in 1999. Guided by a belief that the Internet needs to be safe and universal and a tool for prosperity, he began developing technologies to protect the Internet. Carlos’ foresight and his vision for personal computing have been central to the success of WISeKey.
Carlos is still involved in many non for profit and philanthropic activities as Founder and SG International Organization for Secure Electronic Transactions IOSET OISTE.org. Founding Member of the “Comité de Pilotage Project E-Voting” of the Geneva Government, Member of the UN Global Compact, Member of the WEF Global Agenda Council. Founding Member WEF Global Growth Companies 2007. WEF New Champion 2007 to 2016, Vice Chair WEF Agenda Council on Illicit Trade 12/15, Member of the 14-16 Selection Committee for Europe for the WEF Growth Companies. Founder of the Geneva Security Forum. Member the WEF Global Agenda Council on the Future of IT Software & Services 2014-16 . Member of the New York Forum.
He has received many international awards for his commitment to secure the Internet such as the selection as one of the World Economic Forum, Trailblazers, Shapers and Innovators https://lnkd.in/eAPb3_9, Member of Blockchain Advisory Board of the Government of Mexico. He was Adjunct Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering RMIT Australia (95/99) and Head of the Trade Efficiency Lab at the Graduate School of Engineering at RMIT.
He is also very focus and active in disruptive DeepTech crypto technologies, AI, Blockchain/ Crypto Currencies, IoT and Cybersecurity . He is also very much involved in financial actives related to M&A , Fundraising, IPOs , Listed companies and was awarded the M&A Award 2017 Best EU acquisition for his acquisition of VaultIC semiconductors company in 2016. He listed WISeKey on the Swiss Stock Exchange in 2016.
Dourgam KummerBoard Member
Mr. Kummer became Member of the Board of Directors in 2003 and joined WISeKey SA in 2005 as CFO. Mr. Kummer held several leading positions in the Structure and Corporate finance in international companies and financial institutions, especially for André & Cie SA where he also held General Management positions in their former Soviets Union and Austria representation offices. He graduated with mention in Company Management and Finance at “l’école de Cadre” in 1988 in Lausanne and obtained a degree on Structure Finance in 1998 and in Strategic Finance in 2006 at IMD. He is also a member of the IMD alumni since 1999 and member of the HEC alumni since 2001.
Peter WardChief Financial Officer
Mr. Ward is a Chartered Management Accountant with significant international experience in the IT, FMCG, Retail/Distribution, Medical Equipment and Plastics industries, having worked in companies such as ITT, General Electric and Iomega, both in Field & H.Q. locations. He has operated for many years at Executive Staff (Board) level in International, multi-cultural environments. He has in depth experience in Change Management, Process Improvement, Business Integration & Restructuring as well as extensive knowledge of International Tax, Statutory and US GAAP reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. He has a B.A. (Hons) degree in Business Administration from Wolverhampton University, U.K.
Philippe DoubreBoard Member, President and Secretary General of the World Trade Center Geneva
Mr. Doubre is a Swiss national who has held the position of President and Secretary General of the World Trade Centre (WTCA) Geneva since 1979. He is member of the board of the WTCA in New York and is a former Chairman of the WTCA Committee on Information and Communication. He is also President of the China Hub in Geneva and a permanent representative of the WTCA organizations to the UN in Geneva. He is currently President of the OISTE Foundation. Prior to this position, Mr. Doubre held several senior positions in the banking and finance industry including Vice President and General Cashier of American Express Paris, General Manager Overseas Development. Vice President of the Board and Chairman of the Audit & Finance Committee WISeKey.
Philippe Doubre has extensive experience and expertise with servicing international trade and determination of policies and new directions for facilitating international trade. He is a highly respected and well-recognized member of the international community as evidenced by his former position of Vice President of the American Centre Geneva.

Juan Hernandez ZayasBoard Member
Mr. Hernández Zayas graduated in Economics and Business Administration in Bilbao in 1987, and obtained an MBO at the LSFT (London). In 1989 he joined the Audit and Corporate division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He spent 7 years at PWC specializing in corporate finance, mergers and takeovers, working with large companies and multinationals as well as important family groups. He is a member of the ROAC (The official Spanish College of Chartered Accountants). In 1995 he moved to the Eguizabal-Paternina Group, one of Spain’s leading wine producers, as Director of Affiliates, responsible for national and international expansion and coordinating the Group’s IPO in 1998. In 2001 Mr. Hernández Zayas was appointed CEO of the Cosimet-Velasco Group, playing a major role in the Company’s diversification strategy and in the consolidation of a large industrial holding, with companies involved in several sectors, including steel, real estate, construction and services. In recent years, Mr. Hernández Zayas has been focused on leading development in several new tech and renewable energy entities.
Maryla ShinglerBoard Member, Founder and Managing Director of the Argentum Group
Ms. Shingler is Founder and Managing Director of the Argentum Group. Born in Poland, she moved to England where she qualified as an English Solicitor. She worked for a number of well established law firms in London, including Linklaters, Beachcrofts and Charles Russell where she specialised in private client tax planning and trusts. She continued her career by focusing on off shore tax planning for international high-net worth clients and worked for 3 years as an in-house Legal Counsel for Rathbones plc in London before relocating to head their Legal Department in Geneva for 2 years. She moved on to become a director of a small private trust company before deciding to utilise her international legal skills, expertise and contacts to establish the Argentum Group SA.. Maryla is a full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds a current English Solicitor Practising Certificate.
