Brasilinvest and WISeKey to create WISeKey Brasil 

 

Brasilinvest of Sao Paulo and WISeKey from Geneva, Switzerland, will create a new company called WISeKey Brasil to be based in Sao Paulo and operational from the 1st of June 2008.

WISeKey is a Swiss company built and operated on Swiss values: neutrality, rigorousness, security, operational efficiency and social responsibility.

Following an extended period of analysis, contacts and negotiations, Brasilinvest and WISeKey are excited to create WISeKey Brasil with the aim of entering the competitive and exciting market of electronic identity security, corporate and personal information security, digital certificate products and services research, creation, merger and development of secured real and virtual communities that already exist in the corporate, professional, academic and other environments and events. In addition to these immediate goals, through its products and solutions, WISeKey is constantly striving to contribute to the worldwide movement to protect the environment through the elimination of paper by digitalizing business, government and other paper-based processes, such as for electronic invoicing.

WISeKey will be bringing to Brazil its knowhow and international reputation and influence, as well as its partnerships with world-renowned companies in the information technology and media sectors.

Carlos Moreira, founder and Chairman of WISeKey stated: “The creation of WISeKey Brasil is a decisive step in our expansion into new international markets, which brings substantial value to the trust model and security framework built by WISeKey.”

Mario Garnero, Chairman of the Brasilinvest Group, which is involved in the financial, telecommunications, infrastructure, agriculture and construction sectors, declared: “The creation and operationalization of WISeKey in Brazil through this affiliate, will enable the integration of WISeKey´s technology in the Brazilian market and the introduction of their technologies and solutions into the financial educational, health, corporate and other sectors.

A new corporate entity will start its operations in June from Sao Paulo with the future objective of expanding its operations to other states of the Federal Republic of Brazil.
