The Geneva-based specialist in the field of digital identification opens its French affiliate and signs an agreement with Biolog in order to trace products relating to blood transfusions.
Already active in Brazil, Russia and Spain, WISekey announces the opening of its French affiliate. The Geneva-based company specializes in digital identification solutions based on X.509 standard for public key infrastructures (PKI). The solutions use the network of encrypted roots that are locally interoperable. The creation of WISeKey France aims to benefit from local skills and a mature PKI market.
The new affiliate has already signed its first contract with Biolog, specialists in radio identification RFID) in order to respond to the needs for tracing products relating to blood transfusions. The crucial information on the blood bags (blood donation numbers, product code, patient information) are stored in a RFID chip that is then encrypted and digitally signed with a WISeKey key. The system allows real-time management of stocks, storage temperatures and the state of the blood bags.
